Inspired by Sylvia Plath’s fig tree analogy, this painting was created as a response, challenging the idea that you have to choose one path.
I wanted to capture the feminine beauty of abundance, creation, and possibility. I don’t believe we have to limit ourselves to one fig. We can feast on our choices, taking bites from all of them if we please.
We now have the freedom to choose who we become. To reinvent ourselves, to evolve again and again. To return to the fig tree throughout our lives and continue to harvest.
